Tom De Bruyn – Business Owner

Role: Business Owner | Location: Belgium

Tom is the owner of Mount Leon, who specialize in performing work in difficult-to-reach areas using rope access techniques. Mount Leon performs a wide range of services, with a primary focus on assisting with building maintenance. Their clients frequently find it challenging to observe their work up close, so they provide the option of a comprehensive report detailing the work completed. To create these reports, they utilize SiteCam.
Before SiteCam, what was your process?
Prior to implementing SiteCam, our report-making process relied on Microsoft Word. This method proved to be cumbersome and time-consuming, especially for extensive jobs involving multiple technicians at the worksite.
What are you using SiteCam for?
Now, whenever we are on a jobsite that requires a report, we inform all technicians and instruct them on how to input repairs or items in the app. This way I can follow up what has been done on what day and all images are immediately in one place.
Once the job is finished, we only need to summarise how the project progressed and any recommendations for future action, and the report is ready to be sent out. Additionally, the capability to add plans or overview images and pinpoint exact locations on the site (whether on the facade or floor plan) makes it easier for the client to visualise where our work was conducted.

How much time is SiteCam saving you?
Hours, depending on the scale of the job. However, ultimately, I spend only ¼ of the original time on creating and writing the report.

What do you like most about SiteCam?
The time-saving aspect, the ability to collaborate with multiple individuals on a single project, and particularly the option to position items on a plan are all significant benefits.
